What are the timelines for this project?
ARC-BC began as a two year project designed to provide adequate time for the research, development, testing, and launching of the repository. At the successful end of that two year period, funding for ARC-BC was extended to allow for future development and maintenance of the collection.

- Opened access to repository for 8 BC school districts
- Conducted online and face-to-face training in pilot school districts
- Built awareness of project in all school districts
- Opened application for all BC school districts to join ARC-BC Community
- Reviewed project effectiveness
January 2009 - June 2009
- Officially launched ARC-BC
- Added BC school districts to ARC-BC Community throughout January to June period
- Conducted online and face-to-face training for all interested or involved school districts
- Conducted ARC-BC Contribute to Collection project in two school districts
- Conducted year end ARC-BC user survey
- Began planning and development of ARC-BC v.2.0
January 2009 - June 2010
- Launch of ARC-BC v.2.0 with improved reporting and community features
- Addition of remaining BC school districts to ARC-BC Community
- Continued development of ARC-BC collection – acquisition of new titles and improvement of existing ones
- Continued online and face-to-face training for all BC educators
- Further development of web-based support materials for use of ARC-BC alternate formats
- Extension of ARC-BC Contribute to Collection project
