The ALT-VI training module presents an overview of
current vision technologies that can provide students,
who are visually impaired or blind, with effective and
independent means of accessing e-text.
This module includes video presentations
and slide shows, a detailed resource manual,
and software demonstrations.
The ALT-VI modules were presented in the preconference
technology workshop for the Getting In Touch With Literacy
Conference. This conference addresses issues related
to literacy for individuals with visual impairments
at all age and literacy levels.

ALT-VI Package (125 pages) provides information and
implementation strategies to support access to e-text
through the use of various vision technologies for persons
with visual impairments.
